When MPQ=1

Every single production facility and company does produce waste.

There are many forms of waste and only part of it ends up in the garbage containers and bins.

Everyone in a company and especially in the purchase dept and production knows the MOQ. Minimal Order Quantity. Some know as well the MBQ. Minimal Box Quantity. But almost nobody has heard about MEQ or EOQ. Economic Order Quantity. This is strange because EOQ was introduced for the first time in 1913 already

If you know all of these, that there comes a question, what would happen if MPQ is equal to One?

Minimum Production Quantity, MPQ

It seems to be an unrealistic goal in the world of economy and business built on volume. But is it really so?

If we look back in time, if we go to almost any workshop today, or if we just visit a rural area or go in nature, we will see that producing One by One or One after Another is nothing new, on the contrary, it is one of the standards of the life.

There is a reason for that

The reason that started to be called LIMITATION century ago.

One of the limits was that the man has just two hands, two legs, and one head only. Comparing to many creatures weak and unperfect, which was the reason why the man build for him the tools to gain an advantage. As time goes the tools become more sophisticated and some helped to be even better than nature has served, but it was still not enough.

The man wants MORE and MORE becomes the only criterion for success.

MORE MONEY, MORE HOUSES, MORE CARS, MORE POWER, MORE PEOPLE, MORE LAND

MORE

Transferred into the production One after Another was outdated by the introduction of machinery that can do more pieces at the same time. It was not the production line that changed the way items are being produced, but it was the moment that allows workers to make more of the same item at the same time. In combination with the production line, it becomes the limits eliminator. With this, the doom of society begins.

The factories started to produce more than it was requested and consumed.

In the beginning, the problem was not so obvious, the demand or hunger was so big, that almost all, what was produced was sold, perfect so as unperfect, just the second was delivered for a reduced price. But with the time the demand for PERFECT grows and UNPERFECT was rated as OBSOLETE, but a necessary part of the process and with increasing volumes becomes OBSOLETE an issue and turned to waste immediately after production. It even becomes part of lectures, manuals, work instructions that legalized wasting as a standard part of every process, from OPTION and FAIL become STANDARD and NORMALITY.

The chart visualizes the impact of production style change. It clearly indicates the devolution or a decline in resource efficiency utilization efforts. Since INDUSTRY 3.0, the third industrial revolution, the perception of the term waste has changed. Waste was no more shame, but become standard. Wasting (the process of generating waste) has become an example of success and an indicator of financial primacy. RICH CAN WASTE.

What is even more interesting is the fact that the truly rich never waste their own money, but they benefit from the wasting of others.

INDUSTRY 5.0 is here to end up this degradation and devolution of society and industry, delivering back the logic and principles that helped to reach the 21st century in speeding up technological development.
