WASTE DOES NOT START WITH DESIGN

Waste starts with product design.

This is one of the principles the CIRCULAR ECONOMY is based on.

Is that true?

Let us take an example which is in everyone's mouth, a plastic bottle.

Does a change of shape make a difference? Yes, but only in a very different meaning than many expects.

The shape makes a difference in connection to logistics efficiency and cost. It can reduce significantly the volumes of trucks on the roads, but when it comes to waste

you can throw away the one, so like the other one in no time at all.

this clearly indicates that waste does not start with the design

it starts with the man

and his decision to waste

It is not the design of the products which should change first, but the approach of a man. He and She should change from wasteful to wasteless.

It does not cost any money, just the will

This can be the reason why the CIRCULAR ECONOMY does not consider this step to be the priority because even in the name there is the ECONOMY = money, power, fortune and wealth, personal wealth.

64 years ago the groundstone of circular economy was set

64 years, more than a half-century ago, or if you want me to say two industrial revolutions ago words have been used which are being repeated again and again without any doubt. New economists add their parts, get the prices, collect the money, and the CIRCULAR ECONOMY strongly funded deliver next conference, book, white paper, chart, plan. The circular economy gains momentum and move in circles, it spins.

Back in 2013 when I started my journey of systematic waste prevention my intention was to use tools available on the market, learn and support those who declare to change the world, eliminating waste on industrial levels. I did not find single advice or a company to learn from, so I have started from scratch.

Designed and developed INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING which become the first in the world systematic waste prevention tool applicable to factories, industries, companies and large entities including cities and countries. Start to implement and test in real business environment of companies to prove it is sustainable on economical so as material level. One project following the next I start to report the progress in form of a blog, which I finally named THE WASTELESS WORLD STORY

Two years later INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING turned to be the groundstone of INDUSTRY 5.0 which principles have been published on December 1st, 2015.

On my journey, I don't and can´t follow the words and ideas of someone else, for there was none who did similarly, and maybe this is the reason for evolution which INDUSTRY 5.0 represents, the very first industrial evolution ever lead by man.

During the years I share and offer cooperation. CIRCULAR ECONOMY, CRADLE TO CRADLE, ELLEN MACARTHUR, BILL AND MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION, LEONARDO DICAPRIO, SIR RICHARD BRANSON, SIR DAVIN ATTENBOROUGH, POLITICIANS, PARTIES, UN, PRESIDENTS. All remind still, no answer, no reply.

Building all from the profit generated by the results of my work my IBCSD LAB is proof even a single man can change the world.

Try to input the name in the google search machine I got 339.000.000 results (Feb 5th, 2020) and many direct to the reports and work I delivered.

Comparing to CIRCULAR ECONOMY, where the same search machine, two minutes later delivered 159.000.000 results.

My question is HOW IT IS POSSIBLE that ONE MAN 5 years old idea can beat 64 years of strongly funded development?

The answer is probably simple.

INDUSTRY 5.0 and my aim is TO BUILD WASTELESS WORLD

The CIRCULAR ECONOMY aim is to make the world circular, forgetting we live on a globe already

The WASTE DOES NOT START WITH DESIGN, IT STARTS WITH THE MAN. If the man decides not to waste, there would be no waste. I do not have to build a circular world, I am living on a blue marble already
