TREE PLANTING CHALLENGE?

Yesterday the African country ETHIOPIA was mentioned in almost all global media.

It wins the challenge

Challenge opened by India in 2016, nobody care to set up the rules, JUST DO IT.

There is just a small question from me, IS IT FOR GOOD?

On the first look, nobody can doubt. In one single day, people in Ethiopia planted 350.000.000 trees “to tackle the effects of deforestation and climate change in the drought-prone country” as mentioned by The Guardian.

Three years ago (2016) India made 50.000.000 in the same period of time.

But many almost all of the writers forgot that the following year India once again beat up own record by planting 66.000.000 trees in 12 hours only

In Ethiopia, the Prime minister put his hand on, so as the Minister of innovation and Technology, to show how important the action.

and????

In the 19th century covered 35% of Ethiopia by Forrests and counts under various names and “colonial owners” to the Green Heart of Africa. At the beginning of the 21st century, forests cover less than 4% of the country.

The Guardian quote the British Expert, Dr Dan Ridley-Ellis, the head of the centre for wood science and technology at Edinburgh Napier University, who said: “Trees not only help mitigate climate change by absorbing the carbon dioxide in the air, but they also have huge benefits in combating desertification and land degradation, particularly in arid countries. They also provide food, shelter, fuel, fodder, medicine, materials and protection of the water supply.”

But Mr. Ridley-Elis forget to mention one small TOPIC.

The trees need water to survive and grow, before being able to deliver — food, shelter, fuel, fodder, medicine, materials and protection of the water supply

Let me guess who would be preferred in this dry country a Tree or a Man?

Ethiopia counts to countries which “sent” an enormous number of immigrants to Europe, because of the harsh living conditions. Majority of a young and strong man. Does this challenge cut up the stream?

Will the “RAIN MAN — LORD OF THE RAIN” deliver the next sacrifice to see, there is no rain?

I watched carefully the document presented by The Guardian and I am not surprised it is filled with empty and wasteful actions “sold as HELP and PROGRESS and INNOVATION” and people WHO WAIT FOR RAIN

Its government invested in WATER POWER STATION and get surprised, there is not enough water. It prioritizes the GREEN INDUSTRIAL PARKS

The Rain Lord wearing gift from CHINA

Ethiopia makes the news yesterday, but the government who financed the action from global aid seems to forget, that winning a challenge just deliver moments of pride, but no matter how big, is stays a MOMENT ONLY. Money is spent is time to ask for a new batch to spend again.

I expect 90% of the trees will not deliver the expected food, shelter, fuel, fodder, medicine, materials and protection of the water supply

They will die or stay as useless as the rest on the images. The only trees which will grow and become strong will be in the governmental gardens, in the gardens of politicians and rich expats delivering poorly paid work to thirsty workers.

Challenges so as Revolution gets shorter and shorter and impacts reduce to moments of joy

TO CHANGE THE COURSE OF THE PLANET GLOBALLY SO AS COUNTRIES SYSTEMATIC APPROACH IS NEEDED AND HARD WORK OF ALL. This is missing not only in Ethiopia.

I am living in the heart of Europe, In the country which politicians and officials sell with the moment of happiness national treasure — TREES to China because it pays better. I am living in the country which water resources are lower and lower and still the streets are washed with drinking water because of fifty decades-old regulations. I am living in a country which let kill the fertile soil with chemicals, and metal logistics and industrial parks because of money and profit of few.

I recognized six years ago, I can not expect any change from policymakers so I started the change myself delivering the systematic waste prevention to industries, businesses, people minds and it works. This is what is needed more than another world record delivered just for the world record with no consequence and the true impact.

This is my Garden and this is the place where once almost waste begun to sprout.

This is MY HOME to care for
