Time of Tact
In many factories, the management tries to improve the production TACT TIME. OEE seems to be the right and the only criteria, that matters and if employees do not run, something must be wrong.

New technologies are being implemented to speed up the production, improve the tact time, making it better to please the investors. MORE IS BETTER.
it is interesting to discuss with them how the transformation should look like. MORE, MORE, MORE, TACT-TIME MUST BE SHORTER.
A few years ago I have asked the first CEO what is the TACT OF TIME in his factory. He look at me with question marks in his eyes and said “You mean tact-time?”
“No”, I replied, “I mean the time tact”
“TACT OF TIME? But time does not change its tact”.
Thats is rigt but what change is our perception of time as we grow older. This fact is connected not only to our physical abilities that change during our life cycle, but it is connected to our “INTEREST” in doing, what we have to do.
Our Education, Work, even leasure time and private activities consume our time and as we grow we feel differently the TACT OF TIME.
I am honored to have the possibility to spend time with my GrandDad who would be in just two months from the moment of writing this article NINETY NINE YEARS YOUNG.
His body does not work perfectly because two decades he start to lose step by step his hearing, but with the use of hearing aid he is able to communicate and we do, discussing topics from the view of 50 and 100 years point of view. We set the TACT OF TIME understanding it as part of our lives.
The TACT OF TIME is synchronized with the tact of our hearts.
We do not hurry. We do not watch on the clocks. We do not set alarm clocks.
This is something which is missing in factories and businesses where TACT TIME is trying to compete the TIME OF TACT and define the frequency of heart beats of the HUMANs working in the environment.
