THE WORD OF THE YEAR

On November 14th, 2019 published the OXFORD DICTIONARY the results of the selection procedure for the WORD of the year 2019.

One word step out of the crowd

It was

U P C Y C L I N G

It feels good.

Why?

When I decided to end my career as an employee I look for the inspiration for the work I intended to do, for the waste prevention applicable to industries, factories, and other clients.

I did not find any. There was nothing like that before, back in 2013, so I name it

INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING

Industrial not only because it should be for industries, but because it will face volumes generated only by industries which can be consumed only by industries as well.

INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING is the word I delivered to the world in the days when just a few know what upcycling is about.

In the first months and the first year of existence, I was considered to be a naive fool with no impact on the real business environment.

Two years and 150.000 MT later the first-hand implementation experience helped INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING become the ground stone of INDUSTRY 5.0

This is not the only interesting stop on my journey to wasteless world.

At the end of 2018 have the COLLINS DICTIONARY named his word of the year. It was SINGLE-USE

Why is it so important may show the following slide

Once again I recognized through my work the SINGLE-USE as dangers and not only speak about but realized projects which change it, developing products that switch single-use packaging to returnable or multi-purpose instead.

I do believe that I did slightly contribute to the popularity of these words and awareness of the topics. I will continue and do believe, I would be able to look at the world I live in and say

I LIVE IN A WASTELESS WORLD
