THE RIGHT TO DISCONNECT

One by one the rights of individuals are being “exchanged” with the rights of society. Most frequently in the name of the safety and protection of the individual. It is done by world leaders and protectors

  • instead of owning physical money, we will borrow digital ones
  • instead of having paper books, we will be having digital libraries
  • instead of riding and steering our car, we will be “delivered” by autopilot
  • instead of having physical passports, we will have digital on our mobile

Connectivity is all, High speed connection is all, Virtual is all, Digital health is all, all we need is the electric power and data and devices that can read them

With the increased digitalization, more and more people, born before digital became a normal, struggle

They struggle in stores where discounts are available only in mobile apps installed and presented

They struggle during money transfers. They are not able to confirm the transaction on the screen of a phone because their phone called “DUMB” is not supported.

They struggle when trying to order food at fast food equipped with digital communication = ordering stations where QR code must be confirmed

They struggle at public transport or in a train station not being able to buy a ticket

They struggle at doctors' office not being able to identify themself

It seems like they will struggle at the cemetery not being able to prove they are dead already.

Instead of aiming for the fastest-growing population group, all is being done to take them out of the race fast. All who do so believe, their own life will be better because they get never old

What an illusion of the permanent youth

Back in 2019, I asked ANTONIO GUTERRES the head of the UNITED NATIONS to add the 31st article to the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, it should be THE RIGHT NOT TO WASTE, he ignored it the same as all requests to change, and transform the organization to what it should be, but never was.

Right now I would like to ask for the next RIGHT, THE RIGHT TO DISCONNECT and I am sure it will be processed the same as the previous one.

It is not because the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS can not be extended, but because the will to extend is missing.

The right to disconnect should grant everyone the same access to all services and tools to which exist digital access. At the same time, it should grant the free decision and will not use digital tools and be disconnected.

It is very important and the same as with the RIGHT NOT TO WASTE the fact that it is missing is connected to the fact that at the time of writing the UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, digital in such a scale and form does not exist and people and businesses have not wasted in a scale that turned our current stage of development into the WASTE AGE.

Think about the proposal and let me know if you agree

Have a nice time free of waste and wasting in all its forms, stay safe and free
