THE “R” of REASON

This image was presented to my eyes on one of the frequent LINKEDIN posts placed by the people who take care of URSULA VON DER LEYEN.

I was at that time in the next factory implementing the systematic waste prevention and just noticed the image on my mobile phone screen, but I realize immediately that it says more than it seems at first sight. I store it and came back to it later that day.

The image clearly speaks the way how politics and decision-makers see the SUSTAINABILITY. This is how they declare the sustainability

FIRST MONEY, SUSTAINABILITY WILL COME LATER

It seems that all of them believe in what they deliver in shorter or longer messages to the audience.

The picture is perfect, so why complain. Perfect work of Marketing and advertisement company, well paid from the money collected for the sustainable future and despite all that there is one small issue. SO tiny that no one is speaking about it, or even noticed.

Look again and tell me what disturbs you.

I will tell you what disturbs me.

The fact that if real, the tree or plant will die in a short time and not the whole budget of EUROPEAN BANK would be able to keep it alive.

Sounds strange, but you can try

The fact is life will not survive on a pile of coins and even the banknotes or credit cards or virtual coins of all sizes will not do better.

The tree or plant will die soon because the tiny amount of soil will not deliver enough nutrition and will not bind the roots to the planet, not speaking about missing water which can damage money and you have to avoid it.

The issue of the image is that the people who share it, believe it is true

This is why almost every sustainability and circular economy speech contains the words INVESTMENT, FUNDS, INCENTIVES because money will do and will buy us a better future.

They will not. It will be better only for those who deliver the message. The rich one becomes richer and investors will grow with the rocket speed, this is why they like to catch the unicorns, being easy targets and easy to turn in a milking cow.

If you take “R” away from “REASON” only “EASON” which sounds like EASY ON and this is the answer hidden in many messages that sounds so great and promising.

there is nothing easy gain if building up the wasteless world, but results are permanent compared to single-use speeches that are forgotten just minutes after they finished.

In one day more people saw the poll and many decided to write a comment and to vote. People from India to the USA, From UK to Australia, From Ghana to Germany and Czechia and Ukraine. You see the result.

Many of them following WASTELESS WORLD development for many years already, many of them help and start the change inside, before they present it outside to others.

In few minutes I will leave after another 14 hours working day in my office. It was a hard week which has too many days in which many relax, but How can I do the same when the wasteless world wasteless mindset still did not reach all?
