THE LANGUAGE IS CZECH
Bill McClain shared the words of his friend
THE FUTURE IS RIDING ON THE BACK OF LANGUAGE
And he is riding it for a long time
Together with Kevin MacKenzie and I enjoy the ride every Wednesday for more than three years already and for two and half years we record it to share it with all
We take one word and look at it from many angles discovering so much we did not realize before. For the entire time we used English words only but on February 26, 2025, we discussed for the first time a Czech word
ZEMĚ
A short word, with “hook” over the last “E” which makes the last letter sound soft.
It was a big surprise
for all not just Bill and Kevin, but all participants of the POWER OF TOUCH that came four hours earlier and in which my dear friends from all over the world have something to say talking the same word
We are meeting almost for the same time, just did that at the beginning on LINKEDIN where our conversation can not be recorded and this is why we switch to ZOOM, after LINKEDIN closed the opportunity to meet at the end of 2024
The same term ZEMĚ was discussed and deliver many surprises
Every single of my friends, and every single member of the audience, tried to find more about CZECH LANGUAGE after the event
Here is why
- země means SOIL
- země means COUNTRY
- ZEMĚ means EARTH
- ze mě means FROM ME*
One word, and so many meanings.
If you listen and watched the recordings linked above, you ralize that the word we discussed before was EMBRACE and the Czech language have NINE different words to express the one in English
According to publicly available information, the English language has about 1 mil words and the Czech language just 350K but I feel that these indicators say nothing about the language
We are using less and less words
The language is losing its richness and this is one of the reasons why instead of riding in the future with head upright and back stright the horse is hooting with soare leg
In four days from the date of publishing this keynote, I will stay on stage again. The stage will be in Ostrava, in the North East of my country, and deliver a keynote named
POZOR NA JAZYK
I am not sure if you would be there but know I will
See you soon in Ostrava or Singapore
Have a nice day free of waste and wasting in all its forms, stay safe and free
