THE FOG
A few days ago I shared with LINKEDIN members the following image asking them to say, what they see. The majority answer SMOG
In fact, it is FOG, a natural phenomenon that occurs when the humidity is high, the temperature cools overnight and the air starts to heat up with the arrival of the day and sunshine.
In this case the SMOG is above the FOG
The reason for sharing this is that frequently we are being delivered explanations that have nothing to do with reality. A switch of words is enough to reach happiness or rage.
It is a tool for psychologists and psychopaths
It is used by bosses to manipulate employees
It is used by politicians to manipulate citizens
It is used by pretenders, to pretend
Just yesterday I was listening to McKinsey & Company podcats hosting the CFO of DANONE, well known global player.
All the talk was about sustainability and the CFO spoke about the fact that 80% of company packaging is recyclable, reusable, or returnable. He was talking about the cost of the carbon emissions vouchers the company procure. His words have been strong, and it was visible that he believes, what he says.
Unfortunately no one in the audience, same as the host was able or willing to ask
What is the volume of packaging RECYCLED, REUSED, and RETURNED
or
HOW THE COMPANY CHANGED ITS OWN BEHAVIOR, instead of purchasing the indulgencies
A lot is happening every single day.
Not all seem to be nice and shiny, but this does not mean, it does not exist, on contrary, it counts. It is part of our life and sometimes the negatives outperform the positives.
The well-known publishing house FORBES published in the time between 2020 and 2022 six articles in which INDUSTRY 5.0 was part of the title. Five of them represent advertisements of members and the latest, the sixth one, published in May 2022, lacks as well any connection to INDUSTRY 5.0 origin and principles.
The question is if FORBES as a publishing house lives in the fog or just creates the smog because it is a well-paid business.

Why I am so fascinated? The author reveals the article is written by a HUMAN, he does not hide behind the fog, he does not profit from emitting smog, he just does what is human, support humanity in delivering understandable messages in a language of efficiency.
What is even more interesting is the fact that FOG has a positive impact on nature and SMOG is the very opposite. If you leave your flowers outside, the fog will provide humidity for growth and smog will cover the leaves with dirt and dust until the plant or flower die.
What you see behind my back is a road disappearing in the fog. After I put my mobile back into my pocket I turn round and ride on my EUC towards the fog knowing there is a forest behind in which I will be able to pick up mushrooms for my Mum, Dad, and GrandDad, to make their launch more delicious.
The fog does not break me, it is not trying to suffocate me, just make me a little bit wet giving my skin the moisture it needs.
