According to politicians and media, the COVID-19 VACCINE DISTRIBUTION would be the biggest logistics projects since the end of WORLD WAR II. Many are fascinated by the words ready to put the hands together as soon as they see the forwards name (DHL in Czechia).

I am fascinated by the fact that nobody asked about the volume

It seems like everyone including the politicians, forwarders, banks, investors, experts, all ignore the fact that speaking about logistics means speaking about volume and time, and space. All in Harmony

I just wonder if anyone took into account that the total volume of vaccine (liquid) for all German citizens, means 4.150 l of liquid or 4,15 IBC CONTAINERS, which is the volume that fits in a small truck with a load capacity of 5 tons.

The Czech Republic, which is 8x smaller than Germany will need 518 l, which is just half of one IBC CONTAINER.

Do the words about THE BIGGEST LOGISTICS OPERATION SINCE WWII means we lost the ability to transport small volume shipments?

Or does it mean that because the vaccine so important will everything connected to that increase its price by million of times?

For 30 years I deal with logistics, people call me the STRANGE LOGISTICIAN, maybe because I see the reality without the MONEY MAKING MAGNIFIER that set PROFIT, before LOGIC.

Today I signed a new contract for optimization of DC OPERATIONS for a new client. When I sat with the DC MANAGER we came to the question of why the company selected me and no one of the big players.

The manager says: “Mr. Rada when we spoke during our first meeting everyone in the room understand your words and the way you would like to proceed. At the same time, you offer us to finalize the project in a time which all the big ones took just for the analysis”

It looks like we would be able to finish in half of the time and when I shared this the manager smiles.

“WE CHOOSE RIGHT” sound his words

This makes me happy and this is why I ask in all public today

DO WE REALLY WANT TO COVER CENTURY OF PROFIT IN ONE YEAR ONLY BECAUSE WE ARE IN NEED?
