SUSTAINABILITY — the conference season
“It is time to act” sounds almost daily at some conference.
No matter if Michael R. Bloomberg speaks to mayors, Bill Gates to investors or Sona Jonasova to representatives of waste industry.
“IT IS TIME TO ACT”
Shout well-dressed man and woman collecting applause.
“It is time to act” sounds through the UNITED NATION GROUNDS, so as through the streets of the cities.
IT IS TIME TO ACT
There is just one small issue that reminds me of the text of COMMUNIST MANIFESTO delivered in 1848 by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
Those who call for acting, do not act or better to say, they act by words, but have no time to stop speaking and transfer own words into the action they are calling for.
IT IS TIME TO ACT
Millions in the streets call the same, causing traffic combustion in the city centers where delivered by cars, say WE DO NOT WANT CARS. Dressed in clothing used for the exact purpose, next time take another one, not to have the same twice, holding mobile phones in hands to take the right selfie at the right time and post it on a solution media wit the message I WAS THERE, I DID IT.
Looking at the crowds, UNNOTICED, I am going to the next factory, to work on my goal, the creation of wasteless world. I am working, using my hands, collecting bruises and shaking hands when I am too tired after loading the next truck by hands to be the change.
Identifying on-site what's wrong I find a solution and implement it, not asking others to act, I do it, delivering result, which may be not perfect works well, sharing it after the work is done with others to learn and follow.
The last drawer broken, missing the bottom reflects the image of current days.
Many call “THE DRAWER IS BROKEN” asking the money back
Many call “IT SHOULD BE REPAIRED” waiting for the action to be done
Many waits “IT WILL BE SOLVED”
Few takes what is available and fix it, delivering not perfect, but solution unique in its shape and form.
It seems like we do not live only in the year of politic failures, but repeat the same mistake Marx and Engels did, we expect SOMEBODY DO THE WORK, for us to share the results.
STRIKING IS NOT CHANGING
SPEECH CALLING FOR ACTION IS NOT THE ACTION
DIRTY HANDS AND BOILER SUIT FITS ACTION BETTER
Just remember, the future can be changed by your hands, not the words only
