Small Habitats
The year 2020 will start with the projects aimed to house, homes and habitats. It will use the experience and expertise of six years and it into a project which will give not only the home-less place to sleep but will deliver true small habitat which they would be able to call home.
Just 4 days before the end of the year, found on internet similar idea from the German city of ULM. There was introduced on old cemetery the idea of sleeping capsule for the people without a roof over their heads. It is called the ULMER NESTS.
Behind the projects are artists, designers, and engineers which works in order of the city council. The value of the project is 350.000 EUR. Money should be spent on design, production, and testing.
The shape somehow reminds me of a coffin and the size of a larger bed or tent.
The allocated money on fraud and destruction of the political system.
As mentioned at the beginning of my article, I work on a similar project to be launched at the beginning of 2020. In the Czech language, which differentiates between HOUSE and HOME it is called “MALÉ DOMOVY” which I would translate as “SMALL HABITATS”
The size of our habitats is slightly larger.
The first 100 hundred would be 1,90 x 2,40 x 3,00 Meters and instead of bed or coffin, it reminds of one-room flat, which placement defines the owner.
He or she can have a tall, 3 meters high structure, or low structure with a high of just 1,9 meters but a floor space of 3 x 2,4 meters which is 7,2 sqm.
The metal construction with the weight of 1,4 metric tons could be delivered by truck (7 pcs on a truck) and can be manipulated by 1,5 MT Forklift directly on site.
It does not have to be put on a foundation firmly grounded to the ground.
The walls and ceilings can be made by available material. It can be wood, cardboard, plastic, clay, there are unlimited possibilities and in the need of fast solution a stretch foil can be used, so as old billboard or truck planes to make the walls, and roof. Wood or plastic plates recommended for the floor.
The difference between the ULMER NESTS and SMALL HABITATS projects is not just in the size and flexibility but in the price.
One SMALL HABITAT should not cost more than 1000,-EUR and our aim is even to cut this price by 50%.
This means that for the German Budget we would be able to deliver around 300.000 SMALL HABITATS considering the transportation cost and logistics.
Same as for all INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING and INDUSTRY 5.0 projects we do not deliver only the product, but a solution which would be of benefit to all participating sites, which add the value
The factories will monetize the obsolete packaging and save storage space
The cities and communities gest cost-effective solution not just for homeless people, but the SMALL HABITATS can serve as bus stops, pop-up stores, markets, public toilets and much more
The schools and universities can transfer theoretical education into practice letting the students build their own SMALL HABITAT
The people who lost their home will get back the feeling of HOME
There exists much more than one size and shape of big size industrial packaging. There are plenty of them being obsolete in the changing world of industrial projects.
The SMALL HABITATS project is here to show the way and be proof that the systematic waste prevention projected in INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING is not only the best ground stone of INDUSTRY 5.0 but it is the way to change the world now and here without the need to wait for next resolution of politicians and leaders which ends up with statement
WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING
If you would like to know more or apply the SMALL HABITATS project in your own factory or city, just let me know, I would be happy to help you to launch the system, which delivers results even without the need of allocation capital investment and budged worth hundreds of thousands of Euros or Dollars.
