SHORTCUT TO HAPPINESS
In recent days I submit two articles related to the education system. Both refects my presence at the environmental psychology conference in Prague. The conference was led and organized by EFPSA, an international student organization with a global presence.
Above are the names of 138th and 139th article listed in my MEDIUM blog, which means the current article has the number 140.
The impulse to it has given once again the LinkedIn Daily Rundown (Europe) dated November 27th, 2019, mainly part related to the words of Jon Jachomowicz, Harward Business School Assistant Professor of Business Administration in the Organizational Behavior Unit.
Jon has a title longer than my name and his career is (according to his LI profile) slightly shorter than my own, just about 22 years of difference.
Jon is popular and I am sure students, so as the media love him for TEDx is great to start with being visible.
At his young age and after his rather short work experience he says words which according to LI have to be heard.
Jon M. Jachimowicz submits his article together with Joyce He and Julián Arango in the HARWARD BUSINESS REVIEW which is a respected source of information.
Going through I am not sure if LINKEDIN FEED description was not only the try to increase the number of reads. The original article is named The Unexpected Benefits of Pursuing a Passion Outside of Work and it does not evoke the same feeling in me.
But, there is still confusion on my site which relates to INDUSTRY 5.0 principles introduced almost exactly four years ago on LINKEDIN.
One of the reasons for inventing and delivery of INDUSTRY 5.0 was the loss of meaning in the big part of everyone's job. According to INDUSTRY 4.0, the work would be done by machines and technology so people have time to do nothing and enjoy the free time with granted basic income.
BUT THIS WILL NOT WORK
People can not live lives without delivering results, creating and this is what I name WORK.
This may be the main issue for it seems that I and the three authors understand the meaning of WORK different. It may be connected to the fact that WORK in our life has very different “shape” and we are in touch with different arts of WORK and WORK ENVIRONMENT.
One of the reason maybe we use a different definition, so let us see what WIKI say
Just a few seconds are needed to get the answer
“ Work is a word generally embodying concepts associated with the labor, force, energy, and/or effort required to produce a specific result”
WORK has no definition in WIKIPEDIA
This may be the reason, why we should not just follow what was said or written, but think about deeply and critically and learn.
For me and for INDUSTRY 5.0 is WORK the key to the WASTELESS WORLD. It is associated with the man (HUMAN) and with love which is being projected in everything we do. I do believe this will be understood without any confusion. Machines, Technology, and Education are important tools to achieve this state.
Referring to the original commented article I would like to say PASSION SHOULD be in our life regardless of the time of the day and day of the week, so let us deliver it back to WORK as well.
