Despite the fact, the author makes this image to visualize the impact of ignorance on human impact on the climate, I decided to use the same image for my article to RECYCLING, because the story is very similar.

According to the English version of WIKIPEDIA (which many use as the main information source) RECYCLING is defined as

Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects”

There is a difference in German, Czech, Slovak versions, but because English is still the most popular language many use the about mentioned definition before they throw their waste into the right waste bin saying I DO RECYCLE, asking DO YOU RECYCLE TOO?

I am asking the audience about the conferences and events similar question

DO YOU RECYCLE? and usually, 95–98% of the hands rise up.

This is the best time for the second question

WHY DO YOU LIE?

The silence broke up across the halls, meeting rooms, and classrooms, the eyes filled with question marks.

RECYCLING BECOME A LIE IN HANDS OF WASTE INDUSTRY

I explain and look at how the question mark turns to a dot first and an exclamation mark later when the listeners understood what happens and how they can be so blind.

  • SORTING WASTE IS NOT RECYCLING
  • THROWING GARBAGE IN RIGHT CONTAINER IS NOT RECYCLING
  • PRESSING WASTE IS NOT RECYCLING
  • SELING THE WASTE IS NOT RECYCLING

But all about mentioned is being sold as recycling. In fact, 95% of the billions invested in RECYCLING in the last twenty years has been “utilized” for these four processes, but not in fulfilling the definition of “CONVERTING WASTE INTO NEW OBJECTS”

In 2010 I realized first that something is wrong and after careful and detailed preparation and testing I have started the change from WASTEFUL to WASTELESS, from WASTE A LOT to WASTE LESS.

Despite the fact, we have “for everything a definition” it seems like nobody cares if the definition is being fulfilled by those who ask money for work in line with the definition.

We have rules and regulations which forbid trade, especially foreign trade with waste, and despite that European and American waste is occupying Africa and Asia, and Chinese waste in form of low-quality products is being exported to the US, EUROPE, and all around the globe with no possibility to be returned because the Chinese government does not accept the import of foreign waste.

If the world must be tied with rules and definitions that these have to work properly and be clear and understandable to all the same, with no exception.

What about to use the existing definition and to correct it?

Recycling is the process in which MUST waste materials be CONVERTED into new objects”

How do you like the change?

I have one more

“Recycling is the process in which MUST BE PROVED that waste materials were/will be CONVERTED into new objects”

With the clearly defined responsibility covering the entire lifecycle, manageable, controllable, agile. Set in line with needs and possibilities.

The next what have to change is the definition of waste and I know it will come soon too.
