RE-SEARCH RE-START

During the INDUSTRY 5.0 development control, I receive more and more frequent results from Research and Academic words. Papers, Publications, Panels, Articles, and much more. Going through I realized that the time from submitting the idea, and approval up to delivery is very long and the same is for the EUROPEAN COMMISSION funding.

Both waste a lot of time

Time is being wasted for one and only reason, MONEY

Money is floating under the surface, serving to make cash rich for those who do not have the ideas, but Stamp and Paper and Form and Process and …

In one of my last articles, I mentioned that just the annex for the HORIZON FUNDING application has 43 pages, which refer to other annexes and pages and this is just a small share of the paperwork that is necessary to fill, to get financial support, which is not granted after submitting the papers.

What is granted is the salary of the people who will process the applications, of officers and heads of departments and supporting organizations, and many, many more. Looking at the CHAIN OF COMMANDS you will see that one pair of hands is feeding hundreds and thousands of heads or pockets, instead of feeding the body to which the hands are being attached.

Instead of RESEARCH being the head of innovations, it becomes the tail, frequently only analyzing what's already happened. Funding becomes the same, the way how to waste money and time at the same time doing so legally and intentionally on a bigger and bigger scale. The celebrated LOSS AND DAMAGE FUND introduced on COP27 is a great example.

The letters “R” and “E” frequently represent the change, or at least they should do. In fact, many are just painted GREEN or with any other color, pretending to RE-present the RE-ality of the new RE-volution.

We wait for Action, to be able to Re-act

It seems similar happen to the research industry. The researchers wait till someone introduces something and after they RE-act.

But there is no time for that. Instead of that, the return to the roots of RESEARCH should deliver change and transformation and I hope INDUSTRY 5.0 will help this industry the same it is helping other industries as well.

Let us cut the volume of time wasted on value-less operations and processes. RESEARCHERS can learn from an industrial environment where LEAN methodology in which is one of the tools for example so called VALUE STREAM MAPPING in which the VALUE ADDED and VALUE LESS processes are being identified, to be improved.

It is not a matter of money, but a matter of WILL

Unfortunately, the silos still standing, but not for long.

Will be broken not one by one but in a big wave which will break the bars behind which so many “are protected” against the evil of the world, by evil who calls himself or herself the messiah.

Changing the focus will open the eyes

RESEARCH will become a RECOVERY TOOL, not in a way of REANIMATION of the death giants, but in the realization that there is more than paperwork.
