One + Ten = Zero
In 50 days (since December 31st, 2019) the Powerfull and Rich ones decided to pledge more than 11 billion USD to climate change.
The numbers will grow like the other rich and powerful ones will follow
There is just a small issue
Nothing is changing
YOu may say I am not patient and you are right, the reason is that I do not want to be PATIENT as many who just believe, that money solves everything. I am sorry nature will not deliver nicer blossoms if you put banknote next to it no matter the value.
Same for the climate and wind
NOt the money delivers the difference but people and the will to change which have to go with the will to change and start.
Start here and now
Not tomorrow or the day after
Not someone but you
Not when money paid on your account before you move
A long time ago I asked if the RICH ONES ARE WISE and I am sure they are smart but would be very careful with wisdom.
Jeff Bezzos named in his post three groups which should be able to be financed. Scientists, Activists and NGO´s.
I see LONG TIME, WORDS and more WORDS
But miss the true action, miss the hands of the people who do not spill, do not produce the waste, reduce consumption. I do not see companies that turned from wasteful to wasteless in favor to generate profit, not waste.
The math seems to work very differently in the world presented by media
Not Hand in Hand, but Amount with Amount is being presented as the solution but have you ever seen a zero to pick up a litter? Have you seen one to water the plants? Have you seen any other number giving a hug to a kitty or a lonely soul?
I have not and maybe I am too old, or too young, too poor or too tired I do not know, but I see results which can be touched only when the results were made by the hands, not words and numbers.
Money is needed, but not as the aim, but instrument. Money making Money only is wasteful for it delivers only more money to few and the damage to the rest.
I have to say that before I do and realize the next step on the wasteless world construction site.
