What about proceeding the standard way and putting a price on POLITICS. The price will indicate redundancy or futility and would be the start of the end of politics.
It is interesting. In the world of connectivity, endless information, and monetization of everything GOOGLE is not able to find out how much money global politics costs. There are some vague local numbers delivered by strongly funded institutes and organizations dependent on financing delivered by those that should be controlled.

I do not think this number deliver the right image of the COST OF POLITICS

What about adding the numbers together with adding the salaries of politicians, payment to political parties, organizations, lobbyists. and many who build their business on politics?

This number represents the savings that can be achieved if we start to implement systematic waste prevention principles all across the globe. Wasting for which frequently POLITICS and POLITICIANS are responsible by protecting laws and regulations made by those for whom WASTE IS PROFIT and RESOURCE of own profitability.
NOBODY TRUST POLITICIANS so why should so much money be spent on its existence that represents the largest volume of wasting in the world.
Let us start to live together in a harmony, being able to cooperate, communicate and co-create instead of destructing, damaging, and demolishing what other people created. We all are HUMANS so let us deliver the prove and let us live as HUMANS, let us politics become obsolete same as other mistakes of the past
