Seven days ago I have published an article related to the expansion of INDUSTRY 5.0 into the air. It was more or less the teaser for one of the next projects of technology that will after the launch significantly reduce the negative impact of industries and logistics on the environment.

INDUSTRY 5.0 is systematic waste and wasting prevention. It prevents PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, URBAN, and PROCESS WASTE with the same tools and efficiency.

The SKYLIFTER does exactly this

It helps to prevent a longterm environmental burden on the environment generated by (not only) wind turbines blades end of life processing.

In contrary to several different SKYSHIP projects does the SKYLIFTER aim to fulfill mainly the function of heavy cargo crane and a short distance manipulation.

The lifecycle of wind turbine blades is twenty years. After this time should be the blades exchanged for they represent according to the original specification risk for the man and environment.

First large-size wind turbines parks started to be established just before the end of the first millennium, which means in 2020 the exchange of old for new should begin.

The size of the blades equal frequently the size of a football field and many are even bigger than that. This results in the need to use very special technology and machinery not only to take it down one by one but to transport it. The most common end of life processing is to bury the blades on a landfill, which means not only the permanent payment to the landfill owner but the need for special transport arrangements from the site to the landfill.

I came in touch with the renewable industry back in 2006 when I was named the Chief buyer and International Business Development Manager. Already at that time, I suggested changes to design and application not only in solar PV related projects but all types of renewable energy segments.

As a logistician, I have realized the oversized cargo projects.

All this helps me to understand the needs and issues related to the “new” energy industry and I worked on projects and ideas resulting in the reduction of the environmental burden and projects related to the increase of the power generation efficiency and output volume.

YOu may remember my proactive support of WYOMING try to ban the landfill of the wind blades. I contacted every single representative and senator in Wyoming to share the information related to the true value which they can avoid to be buried down.

Participating in multiple calls and challenges related to the end-of-life blades processing marked very intensely, my journey from the end of 2019 until now.

In May 2020 a cross-industry project was called to live aiming what INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING does for seven and INDUSTRY 5.0 for five years already. Finding a way for secondary utilization of the wind turbine blades.

Despite the fact, the project refers to cross-industry cooperation, the logistics experts have not been invited, which can result in significant troubles, cost increase, and environmental damage during the realization.

The SKYLIFTER project fills the gap

The technology allows with the minimum effort and costs not only the disassembly of the wind turbines blades and rotors if needed but a short distance delivery to a new location without the need to apply the heavy cargo machinery and trucks and damaging of the countryside and nature not only around the power generating site but along the route as well.

The concept is being under the development for more than a decade which helped to find and eliminate issues and difficulties connected to the new shape and primary function offered by the SKYLIFTER

The SECONDARY UTILIZATION OF WIND BLADES is the ideal project to show the power and scope of INDUSTRY 5.0. The established MLR supported by mutual cooperation between industries and segments will deliver the proof of improved functionality of the first industrial evolution ever lead by man (HUMAN).

If relying only on one and a common way, the wind blades would be just landfilled. Hundreds of thousands will be buried next to other treasures, making the WASTE INDUSTRY more profitable than any time before.

INDUSTRY 5.0 is based on systematic waste and wasting prevention and helps to avoid this scenario from the very beginning which is the reason why INDUSTRY 5.0 would become the largest industry in the world not because of having the biggest number of factories and warehouses, but because it will become part of all the existing industries that understand that it is better to generate profit instead of waste.

If you want to know more about the SKYLIFTER project, I do recommend you to contact the project founder directly, Jeremy Fitton.

If you want to know more about INDUSTRY 5.0 and systematic waste prevention contact me, Michael Rada directly.

Both of us, are the founders with a clear vision and we have proved endurance is part of our lives.
