The increasing number of links related to the name of INDUSTRY 5.0 is growing. So is growing the number of companies and individuals who promote with the same name own services or products, many of the robots and technology. Unfortunately, the increasing number results in the growing possibility that the “solution” will not deliver the expected profitability, but would generate cost that puts a bad light on INDUSTRY 5.0.
To prevent similar to happen it is important to increase the INDUSTRY 5.0 knowledge background withing the companies. This is the reason why it was decided to start work on the setup of the individual department within the organization which will target the implementation and control of INDUSTRY 5.0 principles within the company.
Despite the fact INDUSTRY 5.0 is based on systematic waste and wasting prevention, the environment department is not the right choice. The reason is obvious, almost every company have own environment department, frequently connected to the top management and still, the companies and corporations do pay increasing cost for waste management and face growing volumes of waste.
INDUSTRY 5.0 prevents four types of waste to happen.
- PHYSICAL WASTE (TRASH) all that ends up in waste containers
- SOCIAL WASTE workers who are not giving the opportunity to work efficiently
- URBAN WASTE unused spaces, and places, facing inefficient utilization so as not needed investment in new locations and facilities
- PROCESS WASTE production, logistics, administration tasks are based frequently of habits
The scope is wide, so must be the range covered by the “ID5” which is the abbreviation for INDUSTRY 5.0 DEPARTMENT. It reminds me strongly of the British secret service MI6 and to be honest in many aspects it will be very close because it is not the task of ID5 members to reveal and report the visible, but to find the “invisible” allocate it, find a way how to eliminate and implement the elimination strategy.
In some aspects, it can remind on the popular 5S activity, with one exception, the ID5 members do not concentrate on a single task but visualize and understands the complexity of the whole operations and function of the company, supply chain, and even industry and society.
It will be tough job. Job for real and tough man and woman who have to train not only the physical strength but mental ability and adaptability because every single day and every single task would be a different one and it can go across the whole company, across all processes from the bottom to the top and from the top to the bottom.

It is the task of every member to “hire” others to help and join and this is why the fake news, processes, and people have to be found which is harder every day for it seems like pretending to become more popular than delivering the results.
