EDUCATION HAS TO CHANGE
Who said that?
Everyone.
When?
After the Greta Thunberg UN CLIMATE SUMMIT speech.
Why?
Because the children of today do not listen to the children of the past?
Because the education system should create passive followers?
Because many of the teachers lost the will to learn?
Because we do not need brains, just hands?
Because we need consumers, not creators?
Because politicians need voters and believers, not doubters?
If you don’t think this way, same as me, why don’t you try to change the education system directly, the same as me? Having workshops in schools, showing students so as teachers the passion and love for one man’s work, in the meaning of the process, not the result.
Once again we have to be careful. The meaning of CHANGE can be very different in the hands of rulers and those who obey the rules.
Do we want to educate the political party servants? Do we want to use regulations as a brake of development? Do we want to build cities to show, not to live in? Do we want to introduce inventions that never show up?
DO WE WANT TO SPEND BILLIONS TO RECOGNIZE FAKE NEWS OR HOURS TO TEACH NOT TO LIE?
Nine years ago I decided to prevent waste happen. Six years ago I have to leave the second largest corporation of Japan TO DO SO, independently from scratch, with no support, as a blue ocean project. Recently I have learned that the corporation started after 6 years’ time to utilize the heritage I left there.
Preventing waste happen does not mean only ZERO WASTE — NOTHING IN THE WASTE BIN, for me and for all I create including INDUSTRY 5.0 and INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING it is much more for waste has many forms and shapes.
I do recognize four of them
- Physical waste — Trash you throw in the garbage
- Social waste — People willing to work, but given no opportunity
- Urban waste — unnecessary constructions on the greenfields, a growing number of brownfields
- Process waste — 64% of empty trucks on the roads
Te understanding of the complex image is the key, this is why education is so important to me. We should not teach children to follow, we should teach them to create, change what they have learned and teach the teachers to do the same. We should not stop learning and changing, for this is what makes us HUMAN, not because of our shape, size or bank account statement, but because of our uniqueness which was given to every single one of us.
Never lose the joy of learning no matter where your place in the classroom of life
