DECISION MILKING
No, there is no mistake in the article name
I do not wont to speak about DECISION MAKING, which is the art of creation, I would like to aim the very opposite process the art of destruction
The idea of this article came today during the discussion with my client. He tries to solve an urgent request from his supplier, and need for him packaging units which I source from him from one of the INDUSTRIAL UPCYCLING projects.
After a short talk, I gave him simple advice and there was silence on the other side of the line.
After a while he said
“Why didn´t I came to this idea?”
“Professional blindness” I replied, “this happens everywhere” and this is why companies hire me to get rid of”
“You are a genius. Why didn´t I cam earlier to this solution?”
As I said, he did and we make the next step in the development of the project we realize for almost a year.
It is not the first time, similar happens. It saves time and frequently a big amount of money as well.
This is the right way, but there is another, which many subordinates and workers face from superiors.
The low paid workforce member cam with a great idea, he gets a negative response from his superior, to learn few days, weeks or even months later his or her idea was sold as superior´s idea, with no pardon.
This happens not only within a factory. Ideas being stolen every day, everywhere and every time. Especially in the times of internet and immediate data exchange the “thinker and inventor” can lose his idea and discover the thief is selling it as his or her own.
I am not speaking about “Asian and other pirates” and fakes, I am speaking about well-known names and well-established companies and corporations which in the name of Progress, Sustainability, Environment, Future, Happiness and many, many more MILK the creators paying them nothing for their decision to take part and really deliver the groundbreaking innovation, product or process which, if applied, will make the true change
Many of the big ones have no intention to pay but to get ideas for free
Be careful before your next PITCH
