CAPACITY AND ABILITY
For many years I have walked next to the shop windows in which T-SHIRT dressed on figures indicate that TODAY IS THE BEST DAY TO BUY because it is a time for SALE.
I wished to buy it, but the answer was all the time “WE CAN NOT SELL THEM, IT IS JUST A DECORATION”
Once I mentioned this to one of my great business partners KATERINA and following happened
It was not Christmas, but a Birthday present and truly a big surprise.
I am looking forward to walking and riding in it in the summer to make everyone aware of what or who is there FOR SALE
I strongly believe we all have the ability to change our approach and end up not only the FAST FASHION trend but reduce significantly the way we behave in relation to volumes of products bought to be wasted shortly after our money spent
The question is if we have the capacity to do that as well
In which relation are these two terms?
According to WIKIPEDIA is ABILITY
“Abilities are powers an agent has to perform various actions”
What about CAPACITY
It is not so simple, because instead of having a dedicated article, inform us WIKIPEDIA that there are too many, too different meanings that it can not be put on one page. Interesting is the meaning of the term in LAW
“Capacity (law), the capability and authority to undertake a legal action”
Now I do understand the term “He or She is the capacity in her field”
If I take WIKIPEDIA as the basic source, I will say that we need to build up our ABILITY not to waste to become the CAPACITY of WASTELESS WORLD.
In the Czech language, we use the term capacity to describe, among others” our ability to “dedicate time” to do something special or unusual, like writing a blog, creating a piece of art, or cooking during working time and many more.
Without “HAVING THE FREE CAPACITY” we can not deliver, despite having the ABILITY to do so.
Why these two terms are so important because all of us have the ABILITY TO CHANGE, but it seems like THE CAPACITY to do so is missing.
Many will have the capacity as well but THE WILL to do so is missing
If you look at the digital footprint of ANTONIO GUTERRES for example. Every day he (means UN social media team) posts up to 20 times a day new tweets of how others should behave and transform, but he does not have the intention to change himself. Instead of solutions, he spread fear that contributes to GIANTS, but not people.
CAPACITY is present, ABILITY ignored
